**ROCKEM SOCKEM X**
The 10th Anniversary of Rockem Sockem…what a year, it started in Vegas and Ends with 11 men being dominated…eww.
It is official now but we have known it for months…BK is the first Back to Back Rockem Champ as well as the first 3 Time Champion…and he did it in the most complete fashion we have ever seen in Rockem History….this one was an ass kicking by the little guy on Marty Lyons Lap…

Utter ownage from BK at the top, but otherwise things were tight like usual throughout. Fatone's last two week run was impressive by all accounts and gets him his second 2nd place finish in Rockem, and a year he can be dam proud of. Bull manages to pull out 6 points on the second to the last day of the season and put third place out of reach for McNally who also had his best finish ever, it would have been fun to see the two Don's eating for free, but the Irish one now has to pay…
Ryniec pulled his Lazarus impression out of his bag of tricks and went from 12th place to 5th over all, but this is also a testament to just how close the 5-10 spots were this year, points were flying around as Vig slide down the from second place (a spot he occupied most of the season) to end in 6th, Tom bounced around abit before settling into 7th while Moon was pretty much at home in the 8 hole for the majority of Rockem 10. Winston slips to ninth, Birdie is happy to have his number at the 10 spot, some imposter got in the league and screwed up one of the teams…finishing them in 11th and Wilson bought a new home but kept his cellar dwellings intact. Seriously Rockem 11 can't come soon enough…
ROCKEM SOCKEM X AWARDS
Continuing a tradition that is Meah at best…unlike this picture which is Boosh at worst.
MVRSFP- The Most Valuable Rockem Sockem Fantasy Player goes to….
Jacoby Ellsbury
A tough call for this years MVRSFP, it came down to Curtis Granderson and Mig Cab splitting votes for the Highpockets who had a bunch of dominating players this year. Matt Kemp was the first rated player in the game and had an amazing year for the Tar babies but Ellsbury was a shining spotlight who carried Dogzilla to second place. No one thought he had this much power, and becoming the 3rd rated player in the game is something…carrying your team to free eats is even fricking better…
Rockem Sockem CY- Goes to the best fantasy pitcher this year, and the voters have spoken:
Clayton Kershaw
Easiest award to hand out this year and he should get it in real life too, but BK got the epic season we had all been waiting for from Kershaw and used it to the best of his ability by winning the league. Unlike last year when a great pitcher on a bad team had no wins, Kershaw was on a bad team and STILL contributed 21 wins to the Highpockets, much to his managers liking. Hell of a season 'shaw, can't wait to you go with the 4th overall pick next year to Vig.
The Zeddemore Poles Coach of the Year Award: Goes to the best Rockem Manager (named for Winston's Historic 11 point last day jump in 2008):
Don Fatone: Dogzilla
This one was really close, BK deserves props for his fantastic draft, career years and health that saw him through as well though, Mike deserved some praise for his late season ascension but his team was ice cold and couldn't have been worse the first half before coming alive…so I am going with Don't Call Me Donald…and his team of hotdoggers. When the pressure came on the teams (September) other squads slipped from their lofty perch's, the Dogzillas got up the mustard to fight to the finish and claim a silver medal and free eats…all props to the head wop in charge. Nice work Fatty.
The Eric Hinske Memorial (he's dead right?!) goes to the Biggest Bust of the Year:
Carl Crawford
This one had a lot of contenders, but the other big disappointments like Longoria, Hanley and Wright all had major injuries that were not typical run of the mill nicks…Crawford on the other hand sucked it up proper, both in real baseball and fake baseball. Woof that guy stunk all around. He had over 500 plate appearances and still was only ranked 233 in the game…yikes…18 SB's?! Jesus…The Sox and Moon would have been better with Johnny Damon, I am serious, he had 19 and finished over 100 spots higher in Rockem (117th). Moon had and odd squad, but having your first round pick literally shit himself in beantown makes the mission impossible.
The Nomar Broken Everything Award (Player's injuries who sink a team):
Justin Morneau
Back To Back Winner of this award!!! I am actually thinking about renaming the award from Nomar to Morneau, one more injury ravaged season and it will be official. Kill yourself Morneau! In fairness he had a bunch of contenders for this one…just from my squad alone…David Wright and his broken/back/neck/pussy being the closest competition. Those two managed to put the Crawdaddies at the #1 slot in both HR's and RBI's…we may been #1 when it came to points, but we sure smelled an awful lot like number 2…
The Cliff Lee Award: (FA Pickup that changes the league, named for Bull snatching Lee in Rockem 7)
Alex Gordon
BK had absolutely everything go right for him this year, and picking up Alex Gordon back at the end of March was just the perfect finishing touch for his Highpockets…the man went on to hit 303, 23 homers, score over 100 runs swipe 17 bags earning him the 23rd best Rockem Fantasy season..not bad for a one time shining star who couldn't even get drafted this year. He finished ahead of such “great 3rd baseman” as : Longoria (81st) A-Rod (199) D Wright (232).
