Congrats to the Ryniec of Mike who becomes Rockem Sockem's second 2 time champ!

Ryniec Fought hard all season after his unorthodox draft (wave of the future?!?!) and held off a game Don Fatone who held the top spot for the majority of the season. This Ocho Rockem came down to the last day with almost all catagories being able to shift a point in each direction, super exciting stuff.

This league is like the Twins Tigers 09, we almost needed extras to decide it.

The third place finish was locked up a week or so earlier by new Double Daddy Moon and he rounds out the eat for free group. Congrats Pappy. Winston is the first pay to eater but both myself and Vig were close on his heels until the last out was recorded Sunday. Wilson ekked out a 7th place finish over BK and Tom who tied for 8th in the ocho…creepy…

DEATH MATCH FOR 8th PLACE!!!!

Nah you both get it, and that drops the other new father here down to 10th, Birdie finished at his lucky number though so he has that going for him, he also managed to just top McNally, who was all over the standings this year. Someone stuck in one spot though was last years champ, hey Bull, Wha' Happen'd!?!?

From 1st to last….hmmm is this a new trend, look out Mike….But for now enjoy the EETS a Boat you clearly deserve it now the important question…where's the dinner/party? Santa Monica, CA?!?!

Last year I awarded a very obvious coach of the year award when Winston jumped 1,984 points on the last day, so this year I figured I would try to start a new trend….

Here are your Red and Blue Robot Awards for Rockem Sockem 8:


MVRSFP- The Most Valuable Rockem Sockem Fantasy Player goes to Joe Joe Mauer. Taken with the 72nd pick (he will prob go 7th or 2nd next year) Fatone was fueled by the big bopping bat out of the frozen north. This pop from a vapid roster position along with his obvious leadership, turned an iffy franchise into a contender, and gave Fatone a thrilling ride and his first meal for free in Rockem.

Rockem Sockem CY- Goes to the best fantasy pitcher this year, and the voters have spoken, Tim Lincecum eeks out Greinke, being on the bottom hurts big time…and Lincecum was on the top. The Freak powered Mike to a Championship and came one imaginary vote from winning the MVP award.

The Zeddemore Poles Coach of the Year Award: Jay Moon, Ephedraheartstoppers. Sure Mike won, and Don had a dream season and scrapped down the stretch, but did either keep making moves until the final out while changing diapers, notice the S as in plural?! Nope, Unreal focus Jay. Nice work, eat for free, start saving for college.

The Eric Hinske Memorial (he's dead right?!) goes to the Biggest Bust of the Year: David Wright, Winston drafted him 4th overall, and I think he may have hit 4 homers this year. Being the 9th ranked third baseman ain't gonna cut it, by the way this award doesn't have to do with injury…which leads to….

The Nomar Broken Everything Award (Player's injuries who sink a team) Jose Reyes, Bull might have well pulled his own groin with the amount of pain Reyes caused him.

The Cliff Lee Award: (FA Pickup that changes the league, named for Bull snatching Lee last year) Aaron Hill. A big reason why Mike won the league, 36 HR's 108 Rbi's from the 2b spot…Now that's a pick up.

Well that's it for now…can't wait for next year, when I draft all of these guys above. Let's Eat!
